No tooling location or status; programs not bound to orders; checklists live in veteran memory; previous order still at the line while the next starts. Fix with fixed locations, lists, and parallel prep—cut large chunks before simulation.

When twin is worth it
- Changeover elements are checklist-ready yet complex interference still needs verification.
- High-mix frequent changeovers where virtual trial cuts scrap.
- Models maintained and aligned to real process versions.
