Lock Baseline Before Work Starts
Before transformation freeze: period, category scope, defect definition, delivery start/end, inventory definition. No new dashboards invented post-project for comparison. Parallel period may dip briefly—but acceptance window needs recovery and improvement criteria—not endless "still settling."
- Yield: first-pass or operation yield—not impression sampling.
- Delivery: promise-date hit—not "saved by overtime count."
- Inventory: reconcilable book vs physical—not temporary reshuffle.
