Trial and mass must be different work order types: temporary routes allowed for trial, material isolated, nonconformance closes as trial conclusion—not mixed into one final inspection. Unclear types mean messy traceability and quality stats skewed by trial.

Type Sets the Rules
Trial orders may use temporary routes; output does not enter official piece counts or uses a separate account. Trial material is tagged—no undocumented return to mass stock. Mass orders must not reference unfrozen trial parameters. Shared equipment requires line-clearance records.

- Cannot convert to mass order until trial conclusion closes.
- Trace queries filter by type—complaints exclude trial lots first.
